(Sacks & Co) The Strokes unveil the new single "Falling out of Love" from their upcoming album Reality Awaits today. The band will premiere the song tomorrow night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, one of the show's last musical performances before its conclusion next week.
"Falling out of Love" follows the single "Going Shopping," the band's first preview of the upcoming album Reality Awaits. Recorded in Costa Rica with producer Rick Rubin and finished around the globe, Reality Awaits marks the band's first new music since 2020's much-lauded The New Abnormal.
Last month, the band revealed a global tour across North America, the U.K., Europe, South America and Japan, kicking off in June and running through the fall. The tour will see stops including two nights at Red Rocks, two nights at London's The O2, Toronto's RBC Amphitheatre, Paris' Accor Arena, Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome and more. Thundercat, Cage the Elephant, Hamilton Leithauser, Fat White Family, The Garden, Alex Cameron, Geordie Greep, Promiseland and OLUM will support select dates across the tour.
Following massive performances at Coachella, the band will perform headline sets at Primavera Sound's return to Buenos Aires, São Paulo and Santiago along with Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Japan's Summer Sonic 2026 and more to come.
The Strokes are a band from New York City. Since their 2001 debut, their beloved discography has defined the sound of a generation.
