(Big Loud) Los Angeles-based indie rockers Common People unveil hopeful new track "Dear Worry" - out now via Parallel Vision/Big Loud Rock. The song will appear on the band's forthcoming debut EP Games, due April 3.
Produced by Cage The Elephant's Brad Shultz, the introspective tune captures the intense self-critical internal monologue that feels impossible to shake off most days. Written by Nicky Winegardner and Konrad Ulich, the track is a reminder to give yourself self-compassion and mental grace even when you feel unworthy of it.
Games EP arrives on all DSPs April 3, with vinyl copies available for purchase at Common People's upcoming live shows and for pre-order on the band's website beginning today.
Of "Dear Worry," bassist and vocalist Konrad Ulich shared, "Dear Worry is a love letter to that voice in your head. An honest reflection on worry that is less so about overcoming negative emotions as it is learning to live with them."
Common People burst onto the scene in 2025 with their breakout debut, "Thank You," which garnered critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Atwood Magazine, Flaunt Magazine, idobi, and Voke Magazine. Their follow-up singles - "Propaganda" and "Ready or Not" - also received praise from Alternative Press, New Noise Magazine, Earmilk, B-Sides, and more. The band wrapped up their year supporting Cage The Elephant and The Criticals on select dates of their respective tours.
"Dear Worry" follows Common People's previously released ballad "Rain," and arrives on the heels of their festival debut at Innings Festival. The band kicks off their massive 2026 touring tonight in Milwaukee, WI at Landmark Credit Union Live, serving as direct support for Rainbow Kitten Surprise on the North American leg of their bones World Tour. They'll also open for Congress The Band, The Bends, and Young The Giant on select dates of their respective Spring tours, ahead of their set at the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival on July 19. All tour dates can be found HERE and are listed below.
As Earmilk boasted, "Their sound is meant for the undercard of music festivals, and there's no doubt that Common People will soon reach the next level in their career."
