(BT PR) Justin Blau (formerly known as 3LAU) and Timbaland join forces on the infectious new single "Can You Be Mine," featuring Alice Aera out now via 10K Projects.
Blending dance-pop with European house influences, the track builds toward a soaring chorus and euphoric drop primed for festival season. To celebrate the release, Justin Blau will perform a special DJ set tonight at the exclusive Zero Bond Club at Wynn Las Vegas.
The release is accompanied by a strikingly realistic music video created entirely using AI - a creative space Justin has been at the forefront of exploring and innovating within.
Justin Blau and Timbaland initially connected online through a shared interest in music and artificial intelligence, which quickly evolved into a collaboration on the record. Timbaland first sent over the original idea for the track, with Justin refining and expanding the production into its final form. While Timbaland is globally recognized for his groundbreaking work across pop and R&B, "Can You Be Mine" marks one of his major ventures into dance music.
The single also represents the first major mainstream release following Justin Blau's rebrand from 3LAU. In spring 2025, the DJ and producer announced he would move forward under his real name, signaling a new artistic chapter. Throughout 2025, he independently released a series of singles - "DLCD," "Shotgun," and "Will You?" - but "Can You Be Mine" serves as his major label debut under the Justin Blau moniker. For longtime fans, the rebrand represents the next phase in a journey that began with college dorm mashups and led to mainstage performances around the world.
