Photo provided by Atlantic Records(p) Atlantic Records has announced the signing of chart-topping Japanese group Number_i. The trio - comprised of Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji, and Yuta Kishi - recently visited the Atlantic offices in Los Angeles and have already begun working on new music in the US, set to be released later this year.
Number_i shared: "We're excited to announce that we've signed with Atlantic Records in the U.S. We're really looking forward to expanding our sound and reach with the team! We'll continue working hard to bring our music to as many people as possible, and we truly appreciate your continued support!"
Already one of the most successful new groups in their native Japan, Number_i exploded onto the music scene in 2024 with the release of their debut full-length No.I, which topped the Billboard Japan JP Albums chart and ranked #4 on Spotify's Top Albums Debut Global chart. That same year saw their first-ever US performance at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival. 2025 saw them build on that success with their second full-length album No.II also debuting at #1 in its first week of release, followed by a string of hit singles on the Billboard Japan Hot 100.
A cornerstone of the music industry for nearly eight decades, Atlantic Records' iconic roster stands as a testament to its storied legacy and unrivaled cultural foresight, highlighted by artists such as Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Charli xcx, Coldplay, Alex Warren, ROSE, and more. The label signing announcement comes on the heels of Number_i signing with WME for representation worldwide. With their global team now in place, Number_i enters this next phase of their exciting young career poised for worldwide success.
