(align) Jutes returns with a gritty new single and visual, "Icarus." Named after the ill-fated figure of Greek mythology, the track leans into a heavier, guitar-driven sound, built on grinding riffs and a low end that hits like a gut punch. Beneath its intensity, "Icarus" zeroes in on the thin line between ambition and self-destruction, exploring what it means to chase recognition at any cost-and what's left when it's gone.
The accompanying music video brings that tension to life with breathless urgency, placing Jutes at the center of a high-speed chase, running with no clear way out. The visual mirrors the song's sense of momentum: constant motion, rising pressure, and the pull to keep going even when there's nowhere left to land. Together, the single and visual mark a bold step forward, reinforcing Jutes' instinct for pairing emotionally charged songwriting with striking, high-impact visuals.
Of the track, Jutes says: "This song is about someone standing on a rooftop thinking about jumping so they can finally be somebody. Trading their life for a moment in the sky with all eyes on them. But as many jumpers do, regretting it once you take the leap and knowing it's too late to go back."
