(VITAL NERV) French Montana and Max B announce a new highly anticipated joint project, Wave Gods 2: Cosmos Brothers, with features from Rick Ross and YE, arriving April 24th via Coke Boys Records in partnership with Defiant Records/EMG, the follow-up to their acclaimed Coke Wave 3.5: Narcos.
The news also arrives with the announcement of the official Wave Gods: Narcos Tour, marking a powerful full-circle moment in hip-hop, reuniting two artists whose "Coke Wave" era helped shape the sound and culture of a generation. Dates below, look out for details on all dates coming soon.
Additionally, the duo's runaway single "Ever Since U Left Me," has reached #1 on both the Mediabase Rhythmic Radio Chart and Billboard's Rhythmic Airplay Chart, making this Max B's first #1 on the chart and third for French. The single also entered the Billboard Hot 100 last week, extending the legacy of a 50-year-old iconic record. "Ever Since U Left Me" samples KC and the Sunshine Band's "That's the Way (I Like It)," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for a week in 1975. "Ever Since u Left Me" has generated over 25 million global streams, 23M+ YouTube views, and 220 M views on the official TikTok sound in just under three months, affirming that the duo's chemistry remains one of the most infectious and enduring in hip-hop's recent memory.
French Montana and Max B first came together over 19 years ago to build one of New York rap's most beloved catalogs. The Coke Wave series was a run defined by an unmistakable Bronx-to-Harlem chemistry, melodic street sensibility, and beats that transformed 20th-century classics into something entirely their own. When Max B walked free in November 2025 after his release from prison, Coke Wave 3.5: Narcos made clear the reunion was a triumphant return to form, but on a whole new wave. Wave Gods: Cosmos Brothers pushes that momentum further, with French and Max firing on all cylinders without having ever missed a beat. The duo recently fronted the official Pelle Pelle x Knicks collaboration campaign, a nod to their deep roots in New York culture and the generational thread that runs through everything they make.
French Montana emerged from the Bronx to become one of the most globally recognized figures in hip-hop and pop culture; a diamond-certified artist whose catalog spans street anthems to mainstream hits. Max B, the originator of the Wave movement that has shaped a generation of artists, continues to prove that his return is a genuine creative renaissance. Currently building under Defiant Records/EMG, he continues to reestablish his presence with the forthcoming project as part of a true collaboration alongside French Montana. Together, Wave Gods: Cosmos Brothers is their fullest statement yet.
