Bahamas Plots North American Tour

(Republic) Bahamas (aka Afie Jurvanen), along with his band, returns to the stage this fall with an extensive North American tour in support of his newest release My Second Last Album.

The Industrial Sport & Sound Tour launches in Canada with shows beginning September 18th in Victoria, BC at Royal Theatre. Additional Canadian dates follow before the tour continues through the US, with multiple Midwestern stops that include Minneapolis, Chicago and Detroit, ahead of a return to Canada for an Ontario run, wrapping October 8th at Toronto's historic Massey Hall. A 14-date November US leg runs from November 3rd in Seattle through November 21st in Austin, TX. Cities include Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tucson, Denver, Omaha, Kansas City and Dallas.

The announcement follows My Second Last Album's recent JUNO Awards nomination for Best Adult Alternative Album of the Year, marking the tenth career nomination for the five-time JUNO-winning artist.

Tickets will be available via pre-sales beginning Wednesday, March 11th at 10am, with the general on sale starting Friday, March 13th at 10am. All times listed are local.

My Second Last Album is Afie Jurvanen's seventh studio album and the follow up to 2023's country-inspired Bootcut. The record has drawn widespread praise for its clarity, restraint, and emotional directness. Rolling Stone said of the album, "...the Canadian creative born Afie Jurvanen couldn't be more genuine. Or as they love to say in country music, 'authentic.'" No Depression called it, "...one of the two or three best albums I've heard this year."

To Jurvanen, that sense of cohesion was not immediate. After recording a straight-ahead country album in Nashville, Jurvanen questioned whether releasing a loose feeling/indie pop-leaning record made in a backyard shed fit into the arc of his work. He briefly considered holding the songs back or dispersing them across future releases. After returning to the album with fresh ears, the answer became simple. The songs captured exactly who he was at that moment, a family-man living near the ocean, balancing domestic routine with creative freedom. That clarity affirmed its place as one of the most personal and essential releases in the Bahamas catalogue.

The album's lead single, "The Bridge," a collaboration with M.C. Taylor of Hiss Golden Messenger, has received steady AAA radio support since its release. Written as a text message exchange, the song's relaxed groove and conversational tone make it one of the album's most immediate moments. Across the record, Jurvanen moves fluidly through acoustic driven folk, country, soul, and indie pop, with songs reflecting on family life, routine, restlessness, and belonging.

Alongside the album, Bahamas has released multiple music videos and a new web series titled One Large Day. Watch episode two, a casual document of an extended East Coast hang with fellow songwriter and pal Kathleen Edwards, offering a relaxed, conversational window into Jurvanen's creative world. Also watch the videos for "Only Inspiration" and"Ready For A New Thing."

Bahamas' career includes five JUNO Award wins, a Grammy nomination, multiple Canadian Gold and Platinum certifications, and more than a billion streams worldwide. His live shows are known for their warmth and ease while leaving space for humor, emotional range, and moments of spontaneity that create a genuine sense of connection with audiences.
