(TPR) Chris Janson returned to his home state of Missouri on Thursday as part of the Route 66 Centennial Kick-Off Celebration. This four-day event will showcase American music, hometown pride, and the open-road spirit that made Route 66 an icon of freedom and adventure. Janson kicked-off festivities by joining The TODAY Show live from Missouri and talked about his love for his home state and the honor of returning for such a special milestone.
He also took the stage to perform his Top 10 radio hit, "Me & A Beer," which is still climbing the charts. TODAY Show host, Al Rocker, was clearly impressed by Janson - expressing his awe of the musician playing three instruments at once. Watch it here
Janson also took some time to speak with FOX & Friends host, Steve Doocy, who was reporting live from Missouri. The two pulled up in an American flag wrapped Mustang and talked about growing up in the state and excitement around the 100-year anniversary of Route 66. Janson even pulled out his harmonica and played a quick tune to get everyone in the spirit of the day. A short time later, Janson and Doocy were joined by Missouri governor, Mike Kehoe, were the trio broke out harmonicas as Janson gave a quick tutorial on how to play. Watch it here.
Today, May 3rd, Janson will be appearing at Crav'n Flavor's pre-race concert at Texas Motor Speedway to kick-off race day with his signature energy and feel-good anthems. Janson will be out on the road throughout the summer on his Wild Horses Untamed Tour.
