(MCA) Luke Grimes releases his highly anticipated sophomore album, Red Bird, available now via Range Music/MCA. Produced by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, the 10-track project marks Grimes' most fully realized musical statement to date - a deeply personal body of work rooted in storytelling, restraint, and emotional clarity.
Recorded between Georgia May Studio in Savannah and Nashville's historic RCA Studio A, Red Bird leans into classic country foundations and organic instrumentation, allowing space for Grimes' steady baritone and direct songwriting to lead. Across the album, he explores love, faith, regret, and resilience with a quiet intensity that prioritizes authenticity over excess.
Grimes co-wrote much of the project and contributed acoustic guitar, percussion, and drums throughout, collaborating closely with Cobb and a group of trusted writers including Jessie Jo Dillon and Natalie Hemby. Songs like "Drink Drink Drink" and "Haunted" confront self-doubt and reckoning, while "Without You," "A Little More Time," and "Love You Now" reflect on commitment, loss, and the strength found in staying present.
In the lead-up to the album, Grimes released "Haunted," a brooding and introspective track featured in his new CBS series MARSHALS, creating a rare intersection between his work on screen and in music. The song underscores the emotional depth and thematic continuity that runs throughout Red Bird, further establishing Grimes as a storyteller whose creative voice spans both mediums.
Already known to audiences worldwide for his role as Kayce Dutton on Paramount Network's Yellowstone, Grimes continues to expand his creative footprint. With MARSHALS and Red Bird arriving in tandem, 2026 marks a defining chapter - one that sees him fully stepping into his identity as both artist and storyteller.
Following his self-titled debut album and breakout track "No Horse to Ride," which helped push his catalog past 200 million global streams, Red Bird signals a deeper commitment to craft and longevity - a cohesive, unvarnished album that reflects an artist confident in his voice and focused on building something lasting.
