(Warner Records Nashville) Country music maverick Gavin Adcock can now include Executive Producer on his list of achievements with today's release of Adcock's brainchild, Country Never Dies, out now. Adcock "brings together some of country's best" (American Songwriter) by enlisting the help of nine of his artist peers to join him on the timeless project, including labelmates Braxton Keith, Hudson Westbrook, The Creekers and Austin Snell as well as fellow artist peers Jake Worthington, Ashley Cooke, Lanie Gardner, Vincent Mason and Shelby Stone. Listen to Country Never Dies here.
The carefully curated tracklist offers a nostalgic yet fresh take on classic country, featuring standout performances such as Lanie Gardner's haunting rendition of the American folk song "Wayfaring Stranger," famously performed by Johnny Cash, and The Creekers' faithful yet powerful cover of the Keith Whitley gem "Kentucky Bluebird." Adcock himself closes out the project with a nod to one of his biggest influences, delivering a spirited take on Merle Haggard's iconic standard, "Mama Tried."
Adcock "mines some country music gold" (MusicRow) with the creation of this project, ensuring the album not only pays tribute to the past but also showcases the diverse talent currently shaping the genre.
