musicNEWS : Puff Daddy and Jennifer Lopez arrested.
According to reports Puff Daddy had some type of verbal altercation with some other club goers when one of his entourage Shyne (real name Jamal Barrow) pulled out a gun and started shooting. Three people were hit. One women suffered a gun shot wound to the face, while two men were hit in the shoulders. All three victims were reported to be in stable condition at a near by New York city hospital following the shooting. Shyne was arrested on the shot and charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of reckless endangerment. Following the shootings Puff Daddy reportedly fled with his girlfriend singer/actress Jennifer Lopez, his driver and bodyguard and led the NYPD in a high speed chase along 8th avenue before police forced him off the road. Arresting officers found a loaded unlicensed gun on the floor the rappers sports utility vehicle. Although some witnesses accused Puffy Daddy of pulling out a gun at the scene of the shootings, he faces no charges from the club incident. Sean Puffy Combs, his driver and body guard are however facing charges for the gun found in the car and are facing up to fifteen years in jail if convicted. After a grueling 14 hours Jennifer Lopez was released without being formally charged. It has been widely reported that Lopez agreed to testify before the grand jury in exchange for her freedom. She denies having anything to do with the illegal weapon. Puff Daddy was released on $10,000 bail and told reporters at the Manhattan Criminal Court building, "I do not own a gun. I do not carry a gun. The charges and allegations against me are 100 percent false, I feel confident that in the next couple of days, I will be vindicated and everything will be all right." He is due to appear in court on these charges on Feb. 14th.
