(hennemusic) Metallica is streaming video of the debut performance of the title track to their 2023 album, "72 Seasons." The band were filmed at ReadySet Studios in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on April 18, 2023, and initially used for "72 Seasons" promo in Europe.
The audio from this clip was unearthed in 2025 and aired on SiriusXM's Maximum Metallica as one of Spider-Dan's "Rare Tracks." Metallica say that, depending on how technical you want to get with your statistics, this could be considered the "live debut" of "72 Seasons," even though it's not performed before an audience. Otherwise, the song premiered live on stage in front of a crowd 11 days later, on April 29, during the first No Repeat Weekend of the M72 World Tour.
The band recently announced that it will play two "intimate" shows at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT in November to celebrate the venue's 25th anniversary.
