Madonna Announces 'Confessions ll' Album With Visual Teaser

Madonna has shared a trancelike visual teaser to announce that she will be releasing her new album, entitled "Confessions ll" on July 3rd, which will be a continuation of Confessions on a Dance Floor.

The pop icon sums up her new record best by quoting the first few lines of her song, One Step Away, "People think that dance music is superficial, but they've got it all wrong. The dance floor is not just a place, it's a threshold: A ritualistic space where movement replaces language."

She added, "When Stuart Price and I first started working on this record, this was our manifesto": We must dance, celebrate, and pray with our bodies. These are things that we've been doing for thousands of years - they really are spiritual practices. After all, the dance floor is a ritualistic space. It's a place where you connect with your wounds, with your fragility. To rave is an art. It's about pushing your limits and connecting to a community of like-minded people.
