David Lee Roth has reportedly rejoined Van Halen and has been doing some recording with Eddie at the bands 5150 recording studio. This story has spread quickly through the web starting on sites like MelodicRock.com and The David Lee Roth News Desk (www.dlrnd.com). According to the story that is going around, the band has not released this announcement because of the unfortunate circumstances that occurred the last time David Lee Roth returned to the Van Halen fold in 1996. He came back recorded two tracks for the greatest hits album, appeared with the band at the MTV Music Awards and then was fired shortly afterwards. Needless to say the firing angered many fans.
Roth and Eddie have both undergone medical procedures recently. Roth had a arthroscopy done on his knee on January 15th, according to the Van Halen News Desk web site (www.vhnd.com). Eddie underwent hip surgery last November. So are they recuperating in the studio together?
Warner Brothers records would not comment on this rumor and the bands management has been equally silent? Could it be true? Wouldn't they deny it if it wasn't? One thing we know from the bands quarter century in the spot light anything is possible. We patiently await the Van Halen camp to either confirm or deny these rumors.
